Sharp. We ran a small but well connected 4 line bulletin board system that tied to Fidonet interest groups and eventually reached the
Internet backbone via modems. Time marched on and Internet mail and connectivity and something called the World Wide Web
became popular. Networking was in its infancy and companies like Novell and Artisoft
Lantastic ruled the networking scene. Can you say coax ?!?!?
Times changed and businesses adapt. We were a Microsoft shop producing clones and fast
outgrew being in the home, then our original four person office, then our rented space on
Empire St. to finally move into our present location in Normal.
Windows was introduced as were upstart systems from IBM and other providers. We built
partnerships with Ameritech Data Services and Compaq which evolved into some of the things
we do today such as Hewlett Packard servers and systems and wireless technologies.
In 2002 we were approached to purchased Pro Info Consultants a local company we had been
partnering for several years we retained their highly experienced staff. Some of Pro Info
Consultants staff memebers have been working on IBM midrange systems for literally decades. This part of the business focuses on the
IBM platform and custom programming. This is not your mother’s IBM any more! Cutting edge technologies are what you can expect
from IBM and DMi Technology Group these days. Many of our IBM customers are in the manufacturing and distribution verticals
However the robust IBM platform lends itself to a muriad of business models.

Things have come full circle and terms like “virtual” and “cloud” we are very familiar with but these were known as time sharing and
service bureaus long before the buzz words you hear now. Internet is something we have chosen to resell via large international ISP's
such as Sprint. We offer colocation, cloud services and managed IT all based on our own best of breed selections. When you have time,
please check out the "Managed Services" link under services. This is the way many companies are able to ensure uptime and stable
systems without having large in-house staffs to manage everything.
If you need IT (and let’s face it....who doesn’t ? ), you want to have professionals do it right either to manage that entire side of your
business or simply to host some of your critical services . We want to be that your IT partner at whatever level fits your needs and
budget. The lights are still on and we are here to help 35+ years strong.
